About CBS

Mission and Objectives of CBS

The Czech Concrete Society (CBS in Czech) is a civil association of the corporations and natural persons engaged in research, designing, realization, maintenance and refurbishment of the concrete, masonry, and hybrid structures and the fabrication of the related materials and products.

CBS is promoting the concrete, masonry, and hybrid structures and works. CBS is supporting the increases in the technical level and quality of these concrete, masonry, any hybrid structures, pushing through the new knowledge where it can be applied in practice.

CBS is a specialized society under the Czech Union of Civil Engineers  (ČSSI in Czech), pursuant to the Clause 3 of the ČSSI Statute . CBS (ČSSI) is a society instituted on the basis of the Act No. 83/1990 Sb. , on citizen associations.

CBS is intensely engaged in the society, agency, educational, publishing, specialized, expert, and consulting activities.

CBS is enhancing the prestige of its members, supporting their wide knowledge, contacts, and mutual cooperation.

CBS is acting on behalf of its members in contact with other specialized Czech and foreign societies. As a Czech national group, CBS is in possession of the membership in the International Structural Concrete Federation  and in the Association of European Concreting Societies .
