Mariánské Lázně – known also as Marienbad in the Central European region, the youngest of the West Bohemia spa towns, is distinguished by its lovely surroundings. The valley in which the town lies opens up towards the south and is protected with forested hills on the other sides. At an elevation of 630 metres above the sea level, clean air, carefully manicured parks, forests surrounding the spa, sports and social life all make up the unique opportunity for the 6th CCC Congress.

This splendid and unique expanse of the forest proudly overlooks the surrounding basins. The whole area is actually a peneplain, with its tallest peaks of Lesny (983 meters above sea level) and Lysina (982 meters above sea level) standing in its relatively elevated western part.
